PinPassport 0.6
PinPassport 0.6 includes new social, profile, map, and reliability improvements.
- Memo Buddy now supports friend and place search. You can search a country or place to see friends who have been there.
- Memo Buddy can now help you contact friends who visited a place through WhatsApp.
- Memory Map sharing has been added, so selected travel summaries can be shared with a link.
- Travel places now appear with Google Maps-style pins on the map.
- Profile setup is now part of onboarding, with username entry required before continuing.
- Profile photo selection has been simplified. Instead of face-matching suggestions, users now choose their profile photo locally.
- Scoreboard rankings are more interactive. You can open friend or public profiles from rankings; public profiles show limited details until you become friends.
- Private users in Scoreboard now show masked profile information while preserving country count visibility.
- Friend requests can now be withdrawn.
- Push notifications have been added for friend requests, including notifications outside the app.
- Photo previews now support swipe navigation.
- Photo preview loading performance has been improved.
- Manual trip date selection has been improved so end dates start near the selected start date and require a later date.
- Manual country and place edits now update trip duration and recent trip day counts more accurately.
- Profile layout issues were fixed, including wide profile photos shifting the page and long names overlapping the Full / Memory chips.
- The app is now locked to Light Mode to avoid unreadable text or missing UI colors in Dark Mode.
- Profile avatar fallback behavior was improved so missing uploads no longer show as empty gray avatars.
- Profile story and profile list snapshots now sync and persist more reliably.
- Public travel sync and Scoreboard country counts were improved for users whose profile showed countries but ranking counts appeared as zero.
- Launch diagnostics, background recovery, weather memory caching, and general profile tab performance were improved.
